POLISH LOWLAND SHEEPDOG TEMPERAMENT
This page was first going to be called "Polish Lowland Sheepdog Activities" but it is more than that. The personality of the PON makes it a versatile breed that can do just about anything. People will ask breeders about the temperament of the breed and most owners will respond they are unique? Unique? What does that mean? The response most often is you have to own one to understand but once you own a PON there will be no other breed for you. So how would you describe such breed and what they can do...just exactly what in their personality can make them so unique?

Having said this two things are essential... 1) socialization and 2) obedience
Socialization
means exposing your PON to all kinds of people, noises, situations, etc.
Anything you want your PON to be comfortable with as an adult.
Obedience
means taking your puppy once shots are completed to a series of obedience classes starting with puppy kindergarten and at least one basic class.
Must be classes that are fair, firm, consistent and positive.
All family members should decide the rules and adhere to them
Do these two things and you will have the best behaved, fun-loving , well-adjusted dog with the greatest personality you will ever own. Now you may ask, what kinds of things can I do
